The Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) Community Achieves Poverty Simulation was held at Trevecca University on February 28, 2019. We had a great turnout of United4Hope volunteers at the event.
Collaboration Corner Stratford Team | March 2019
Earlier in the Fall semester, the United4Hope Stratford team dreamed of inviting students, teachers, administrators, and community members to prayerfully walk through the school. They began by building trust and rapport with staff during their weekly Prayer at the Pole before school. With the help of school counselors, they prepared a handout that detailed specific ways to pray for the students.
Collaboration Corner New Life Apostolic Church | March 2019
In the weeks prior to August 2018, New Life Apostolic Church had all hands on deck to assist Alex Green Elementary staff with the commencement of the new school year. The church held a school supply drive to collect office and classroom supplies. Immediately following the drive, New Life invited school staff to a Back to School Sunday event at the church where they were prayed over and provided lunch following the service.
Volunteer Data | February 2019
Each year, new partners join our network, and existing partners deepen their engagement. Seeing how this engagement translates into meaningful interactions between students, staff, families, and volunteers encourages us as we collaborate with MNPS to understand how the faith community can support district initiatives.
